Every great idea starts with a need. For my family, it was finding a place where we could build a life we love. I’m Sawn Dowd, the founder of Thaieasy90, and for me, Thailand has always been home. As a Thai citizen, I’ve experienced firsthand how complex and challenging Thailand’s immigration process can be, and I wanted to make it easier for others who have chosen to call Thailand their home.

A Personal Journey

In 2018, I married my American wife, Jess. She’s an introvert with social anxiety, and learning Thai while navigating the immigration system was overwhelming for her. Jess constantly worried about making mistakes or being denied the right to stay, and the thought of dealing with immigration officials made her anxious. I took responsibility for handling her visa process, ensuring that everything was managed smoothly.

But it didn’t stop there. Over the years, I’ve researched immigration processes extensively, consulting with agents, immigration officers, and other expats to understand every detail. My background in process optimization allowed me to streamline and optimize Jess’s immigration process so effectively that it inspired me to help others in similar situations.

From Personal Solutions to Helping Others

My passion for efficiency and improvement comes from my professional background in process engineering. Over the years, I’ve applied these skills to help expats and their families in our circle navigate the complexities of Thailand’s immigration system. After developing a robust system for tracking documents, deadlines, and requirements, I realized I could make a difference for even more people. That’s why I created Thaieasy90—to provide a service that takes the stress out of 90-day reporting as the beginning of my journey, with plans to expand to other immigration needs in the coming years for everyone living in Thailand.
